Accessible Publishing
tuesdays, 1:30-3pm
Disabled and neurodiverse individuals 14 and older will learn about literary publishing opportunities that exist beyond the traditional publishing industry. Our class will discuss accessible publishing alternatives and how to get started and will learn about and experience the work of neurodiverse and disabled authors who chose non-traditional publishing routes.
After-School Activities
Mondays-Thursdays,
3pm-5:30pm
This is a designated time (3pm-5:30pm) geared toward folks age 10+ with neurodiversity- and disability-related support needs. This programming utilizes elements of cooking, games, crafts, music, and art as a relaxed time of care tailored to the participantsโ interests and capabilities. Fall 2024 registration now open!
Book Club
Tuesdays,
10-11:30am
Geared toward college students and young adults who are neurodiverse and/or living with disabilities, Book Club promotes inclusion and community knowledge by featuring a variety of authors who center disability justice and inclusivity through storytelling.
Creative
Writing
Thursdays,
1:30-3:00pm
Participants with support needs aged 18+ are encouraged to sign up for this weekly workshop class that promotes life-skill development through storytelling, creativity, and the grounding nature of creative expression.
Cooking
Thursdays,
10-11:30am
Offers life skill development through increased autonomy with healthy food choices and being able to prepare simple meals.
Community Lunch
Wednesday, 11:30am-1:30pm
The mealtime is open to people of all ages with support needs. Community members are invited to order lunch and join us at noon. Community Lunch promotes life skill development through learning about nutrition and making healthy choices, as well as setting up for and cleaning up after the mealtime.
